Storage Tanks
Storage tanks are used in the food, chemical, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries to store raw materials, intermediate products or finished products under suitable process conditions. Feyas fabricates and installs horizontal and vertical tanks in capacities from 1 m³ to 5000 m³, including tanks too large for transport that must be erected on site.
Tank geometry is determined with consideration for fluid properties, operating temperature and pressure, available site space, filling and discharge arrangements, and maintenance requirements. Materials, nozzles, supports, agitators, and heating or cooling options are evaluated together with plant connections.
Tank design considers capacities from 1 m³ to 5000 m³; horizontal, vertical or field-erected geometry; operating temperature and pressure; and the fluid’s density, viscosity and chemical properties.

Tank Solutions Tailored to Storage and Site Requirements
Fluid properties, capacity and site conditions are considered together with the tank’s mechanical design.
- Tank Design Suited to Capacity and Site Tank geometry is determined according to capacity, layout, transport constraints and field-fabrication conditions.
- Fluid-Compatible Materials and Detailing Materials, surfaces, nozzles and auxiliaries are selected according to the properties of the stored fluid.
- Static Calculation and Design Verification Loads and operating conditions are assessed through mechanical calculations and, where required, finite element analysis (FEA).
- Fabrication, Installation and Plant Integration Workshop or field fabrication, installation and process connections are planned within a single scope of supply.
The stored fluid, capacity, filling and discharge rates, operating conditions, site layout and connection requirements are established before work begins. These data are translated into decisions on tank type, material, supports, nozzles and auxiliary equipment.
Transport constraints are considered for transportable tanks, while field fabrication and installation planning are addressed for large-capacity tanks. Inspection steps, surface treatments, plant connections and delivery documentation are defined according to the project scope.
